APA INSURANCE COMPENSATES BUSINESS OWNERS WITH OVER KSH 1.2 MILLION AFTER TOI MARKET FIRE

APA Insurance, in partnership with Musoni Microfinance and leading insurtech Turaco paid over Ksh1.2 million to 12 business owners who were affected by the devastating fire that swept through Toi Market on 11 June 2023.

The devastating fire that engulfed Toi Market in June 2023 dealt a severe blow to over 2,500 traders, leaving them grappling with losses amounting to millions of shillings. Traders in bustling second-hand markets, such as Toi Market, face heightened risks of fire incidents, often exacerbated by land disputes and other factors.
