“Animals are such agreeable friends – they ask no questions; they pass no criticisms” – George Eliot
The ability to share ones home with a cat or dog is one of the great joys in life; they offer us love and loyalty, companionship and protection. It is not surprising therefore that they quickly win their way into our hearts as our four-legged family members. Unfortunately our pets are as likely to become ill or to have an accident as any of our other loved ones, and in some cases more so. From falling down the stairs, to allergies, car accidents to cancer our pets frequently need the expertise of a veterinarian and at those times the last thing we want to think about is money. That’s why APA pet insurance offers you a chance to manage the risk associated with your pet’s medical issues.
The insurance will pay the owner of the animal should the animal die in any of the following circumstances:
Where a pet leaves its home and cannot be traced and is presumed dead after a defined period.
Veterinary expenses incurred as a result of illness and/or accident where treatment is carried out by a qualified veterinary surgeon.
Any animal kept not for economic gain but for the owner’s comfort, companionship and /or sentimental value. For example: Dogs, cats, pigeons, parrots, rabbits, guinea pigs among others.
The covers pays the owner of the lost /dead animal an amount equal to the value indicated at the time of taking cover.
