Hosicare

When facing a medical emergency, the last thing you want to worry about is the financial burden. APA Life understands that the only thing you should think about is getting better – which is why we came up with Hosicare.

The cash benefit is payable daily for each day spent in continuous admission in hospital as a result of illness or an accident for medical treatment.

The benefit is only payable if the total period of continuous admission exceeds 3 days, and for a maximum of 15 days for any one admission and a maximum of fifty two (52) days in a year.

Benefits

  1. Last Expense: provides a lump-sum payment upon demise of the life assured. The payment is made to the named beneficiary within one (1) business day of receipt of all of the following documents:
      • Claim form (duly filled and signed)
      • Burial permit
      • Death certificate
      • Copy of the National ID,
        Passport or Birth certificate (of deceased)
        The benefit payable is Kshs 20,000
  2. Hospitalization Cash Benefit: is a cash benefit of KShs 1,000 payable for each day spent in continuous admission in hospital as a result of illness or an accident for medical treatment in excess of 3 days.
    This benefit is payable for a maximum of 15 days and subject to a minimum period of 3 days.
