SUMMARY OF THE CORPORATE HEALTH COVERS
Hospitalization(Inpatient) Expenses.
Caters for expenses for accommodation, Surgeon, Anesthetist, physician, use of operating theatre, physiotherapy, drugs and dressings, surgical appliances.
Outpatient HEALTH Expenses
Caters for expenses incurred on an outpatient basis. Diagnostic consultation fees for doctors fees. Cost of drugs, dressings and injections and diagnostic procedures, ambulance and other emergency transport within Kenya used to evacuate person.
Dental Expenses
Dental costs relating to extractions and fillings i.e. treatment of the teeth or accidental damage to dentures.
Optical Expenses
Cost of eye testing, eyeglasses and contact lenses (non-disposable) Replacement of existing lenses as part of further treatment
Maternity Expenses
Expenses arising from pregnancy and eventual childbirth. Cost of miscarriage and doctor-recommended abortion
Emergency/Excess of loss Expenses
Provides additional coverage in the event of the inpatient cover being exhausted. This cover is available for large groups of over 100 individuals.
Funeral Expenses
Reimburses the cost of funeral expenses in the event of the death of a member. The benefit is paid to the member/family within 48hours.
HIV/AIDS benefit
Expenses both inpatient and outpatient due to HIV/AIDS up to a specified limit per year
Viral load monitoring, voluntary testing and counseling Anti-retroviral therapy
SOME EXCLUSIONS OF THE POLICY
- General Health check-ups
- Cosmetic surgery or treatment unless caused by accident
- Age related senility or insanity
- Family planning/Infertility
- Treatment other than by a registered HEALTH practitioner
- Intentional self injury, drunkenness, drug addiction, criminal acts.
- Expenses recoverable under any other insurance or source
- Beauty treatment at nature cures clinics or health hydros.
- Any claim where material information shall have been mis-stated or with held at the time of application.
- Expenses in excess of the specified policy limits and/or sub-limits
